Sony NEX-VG900E: Features and Capabilities

The Sony NEX-VG900E is a camcorder with interchangeable lenses equipped with a CMOS sensor Exmore Full Frame 35 mm with a resolution of 24.3 MP resolution with RGB primary color filters and generation processor BIONZ. Thanks to the manual control of iris, shutter speed, white balance and gain changes can be made quickly and efficiently even while recording.

The 35 mm full-frame sensor is capable of recording at 25p, 50i, 50p and at standard speed of 24 fps when recording videos at a size you prefer (HD, PS, FX) which can be framed by the magnificent sight XGA OLED high resolution (approximately 2,359,000 points). Even the audio portion was put in the foreground without neglect, thanks to the microphone capsule with quadruple spatial matrix that lets you record stereo or 5.1-channel surround.

The camera has no optical zoom (which of course will depend on the lens used as part of the stabilization) but has the digital zoom 2.0 actuated through a lever and that will allow you to zoom in a fluid and dynamic.

Sony NEX-VG900E

The device not only allows you to create full HD video at 1,920 x 1,080 pixels (AVCHD format) at 28 Mbps with maximum sharpness in every detail, even the smallest. The stunning video quality of the device is also found in the realization of still images without doubt comparable to the SLR shots of a generation, also analyzing the depth of field perfect for the creation of professional shots.

Still images made with the camera have a resolution of 6,000 x 3,376 pixels (16:9 mode) and 6,000 x 4,000 pixels (in 3:2 mode), with a compression JPEG or RAW. Also, thanks to optimize advanced dynamic range, exposure is adjusted as well as the contrast for natural results even in high contrast scenes and in the case of portraits with backlighting.

The filming and still images recorded can be stored in a memory card that can be of different types: Memory Stick PRO, Pro-HG Duo, XC-HG Duo memory cards or in the classic (and much cheaper) SD, SDHC and SDXC. The manufacturer suggests use memory cards Class 4 or higher for recording movies.
